Suicide and Rescue

• The Helpline received a distress call from Nagpur, Maharashtra.
• The caller expressed her desire to commit suicide as she had faced premarital breach of trust.
• The caller switched off her phone after calling the Helpline.
• NCW helpline immediately contacted Hudkeshwar police station, Nagpur, Maharashtra and the Police patrolled the entire Nagpur city to locate her.
• Finally, the victim was found and was taken to police station where her parents were present and they counselled the victim and her parents. She was safely sent home.

Harassment

• A woman called from Anand Vihar, Shahadra and informed that her husband was conducting act of violence at her workplace.
• The victim was living separately from her husband and when she decided to live with her parents and work to earn her livelihood, her husband came to her work place and assaulted her.
• NCW helpline immediately contacted SHO Anand Vihar Police station, Shahadra and the Police lodged NCR 323,506 in the instant case.

Stalking and Police Apathy

• A woman called from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.
• She was being stalked by her old company employee.
• NCW helpline intervened in the matter and immediately contacted SHO, Noida Sector-3, Uttar Pradesh.
• The police called the respondent to the police station and the matter was resolved wherein the respondent gave written assurance to not stalk the victim in the future.

• A woman called from Chheharta, Amritsar, Punjab.
• Her husband had taken away their 1.5 year old child.
• NCW helpline immediately contacted SHO Chheharta, Amritsar, Punjab to take immediate action in the matter.
• Following the intervention of the Police the victim was successfully reunited with her child

Molestation

• A call was received by a woman from Sirohi, Rajasthan.
• She alleged violence, harassment and molestation.
• She went to the police station but the police refused to register her complaint.
• NCW helpline contacted SHO, Abu Road Sadar Sirohi, Rajasthan
• On follow-up it was informed by her that her complaint was registered and after investigation FIR U/S- 447,423,354,506 IPC was registered.

• एनसीडब्ल्यू हेल्पलाइन 24*7 ईमेल आईडी पर एक अज्ञात स्थान से एक व्यक्ति द्वारा उसे बचाने का अनुरोध करते हुए एक ईमेल प्राप्त हुआ।
• एनसीडब्ल्यू हेल्पलाइन ने बिहार के मधुबनी के वन स्टॉप सेंटर से संपर्क किया
• ओएससी से संपर्क करने पर उन्होंने बताया कि उन्होंने वीडियो कॉल के माध्यम से पीड़िता से संपर्क किया है और पीड़िता असम सेना शिविर क्षेत्र में अपने स्थान पर सुरक्षित है।
