A meeting was held today with senior officials to review various schemes being implemented by the Central Government and the Union Territory Administration for the safety and empowerment of women in Jammu and Kashmir.

Hon’ble Chairperson of the National Commission for Women, Smt. Vijaya Rahatkar, along with the Chairpersons of the State Women Commissions of Haryana, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Tripura, Odisha, Puducherry, Kerala and Nagaland, paid a courtesy call on Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha, at Lok Bhavan, Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir.

Hon’ble Chairperson of NCW, Smt. Vijaya Rahatkar, visited the One Stop Center at Srinagar and reviewed the support services being extended to women in need.

Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge) Dr. Jitendra Singh, in his keynote address at “Shakti Samwad” inspired the Chairpersons, Members and Member Secretaries of the State Women Commissions.
