स्वतंत्रता दिवस के पावन अवसर पर राष्ट्रीय महिला आयोग की माननीय अध्यक्षा श्रीमती विजया रहाटकर ने आयोग के पूरे स्टाफ के साथ ध्वजारोहण किया। इस अवसर पर माननीय अध्यक्षा ने कहा कि “हमारा तिरंगा केवल एक ध्वज नहीं, बल्कि भारत के गौरव, स्वाभिमान और हमारे वीर स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों के त्याग एवं बलिदान का प्रतीक है। हम संकल्प लें कि नारी शक्ति को सशक्त बनाकर एक विकसित, आत्मनिर्भर और समतामूलक भारत के निर्माण में अपना योगदान देंगे।”

The National Commission for Women, under the leadership of Smt. Vijaya Rahatkar, Hon’ble Chairperson, and Prof. Uma Kanjilal, Vice Chancellor, IGNOU, today formalised their collaboration through the signing of an MoU and the launch of three Microcredential Courses on: • Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace (POSH) • Women’s Leadership, Capacity Building & Workplace Behaviour • Gender Sensitization: Society & Culture The initiative brings together NCW’s expertise and mandate with IGNOU’s academic strength and national reach, making structured learning on critical women-centric issues more accessible.

Hon'ble Chairperson of the National Commission for Women, Smt. Vijaya Rahatkar, chaired a review meeting in Bulandshahr,Uttar Pradesh in which the status of women's safety, welfare, and empowerment in the district was assessed, and the effectiveness of existing institutional mechanisms was reviewed.

Strengthening investigative capacity for sensitive cases involving children, the National Commission for Women, under the chairpersonship of Smt. Vijaya Rahatkar, organised an IGNITE Lecture by Shri Sandeep Gill, IPS, on “Investigative Frameworks and Best Practices in Handling High-Profile Sensitive Cases under the POCSO Act.”
